The tallest residential towers in the Americas created by the most acclaimed architect of our time, Frank Gehry. See the trailer at New York By Gehry

The preview for the Lower Manhattan residential tower, formerly known as the Beekman Tower and 8 Spruce Street, begins with star architect Frank Gehry sketching the building’s shape while talking about its bay windows.

“What I wanted to do was to resurrect the bay window,” Gehry says in the preview. “If there’s a bay window, you walk two feet forward and you’re in outer space. The window surrounds you.”

Then the preview shifts to a quick-cutting avalanche of New York by Gehry photos interspersed with scenes from neighborhoods that, as Curbed points out, “in most cases are nowhere near the building.”

New York by Gehry is touted as the “tallest residential tower in the Americas” with rents starting at $3,000 a month and rising to $15,000-plus.
